by Kim Campbell ThorntonI’m no expert, but I began reading this book the day my adoption was approved and it has most of what I need. The first 54 pages are really to help readers decide if a lab is a good fit for their home, then what kind of lab they should adopt, and so these did not apply to me. The rest is a lot of, I presume, good advice on how to care for your dog as a puppy, adolescent, and adult dog, even onto death. The book fails to address two minor behavioral issues that my dog manifests, but everything else is here and works. I have not compared this to other books on living with a lab so I do not claim this is the best book on the subject, but I have found it helpful and I recommend it.
