by Bryl R. TyneWith each new "Diary" Zag's narrative continues to captivate me. I see him as irreverent yet respectful, with his wards, about his job and with Big Papa.He knows the rules, he knows what Big Papa's expectations are BUT for his charges Zag has shown us he will do whatever it takes to set them on the path to what each of them really needs... because HE knows what that is even if they don't.
In Desperate we see yet another side of Zag. For the first time we see him angry with a charge, frustrated with the abuse of free will which he feels we alone as human beings are gifted with and take for granted. Above all else Zag values human life which he has proven time and again by his actions. As much as I enjoy each new diary and each story itself is a revelation, I am equally drawn to and anticipating another look into Zag's character. He continues to evolve as well, exposing a new layer through each interaction with his human charges. He is very much affected by each encounter and I can see this taking it's toll on him.
